Atlantic/Cape May Vicinage to Celebrate Law Week

The Atlantic/Cape May Vicinage, in partnership with the bar associations of Atlantic and Cape May counties, will host a week of activities to celebrate Law Day, beginning Monday, April 29.  While some events, such as school visits, wellness presentations, volunteer recognition events, and continuing legal education classes for attorneys, will be held internally, the following events are open to the public:

Monday, April 29

  • 4 p.m. – Student art show in the jury assembly room of the Atlantic County Criminal Courts Complex, 4997 Unami Blvd., Mays Landing. The event will be presented by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
  • 4:30 p.m. – K-9 demonstration by the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office at the Criminal Courts Complex. 
  • One Judge-One School judicial outreach program display debut on the third floor, east wing of the Atlantic County Civil Courts Building, 1201 Bacharach Blvd., Atlantic City. 

Tuesday, April 30

  • 12:30-1:15 p.m. – Atlantic County mock trial competition trophy presentation in courtroom 3A of the Atlantic County Civil Courts Building.
  • 2-5 p.m. – Atlantic County probation job fair at the All Wars Memorial Building, 1510 Adriatic Ave., Atlantic City.

Wednesday, May 1

  • 8:30 a.m. – Atlantic County Bar Association In-Memoriam in courtroom 3A of the Atlantic County Civil Courts Building. (Also available via livestream at njcourts.gov/public/channels.)
  • 12:30-1:30 p.m. – Presentations on the health benefits of music, acupuncture, breathing and guided meditation. – Available via livestream at njcourts.gov/public/channels.
  • 3-6 p.m. – Cape May County probation resource fair, first floor of the Cape May County Courthouse, 9 N. Main St., Cape May Court House.

Thursday, May 2

  • 9-10 a.m. – Atrium and Inspiration Wall of Justice Judicial Portrait Dedication Ceremony – atrium of the Atlantic County Civil Courts Building.

Friday, May 3

  • 8:30 a.m. – Cape May County Bar Association In-Memoriam – jury assembly room of the Cape May County Courthouse. (Also available via livestream at njcourts.gov/public/channels.)
